Character Background: Izuku on the Wiki!
December 2019: Izuku arrived in Fellden in December being given the same task as everyone who joined: to save Fellden, a world inbetween worlds that is responsible for the wellbeing of all others. Should Fellden fall, everyone's homes are at risk. Fellden at the time was split between two factions, the Emperor's Court of Stars and the Priestess' Moon Temple. Izuku had been recruited into the Court of Stars by the Emperor, as evidence by the gemini tattoo on his right bicep branding him for that faction. In Fellden, promises and deals are related to tattoos that appear on one's body as they are made.
- His first month in Fellden saw him enjoying a holiday festival and later a New Year's masquerade in January. He also began studying magic at the University in the form of Enchantment and Alchemy.
- Before the year's end, Izuku accompanied Katsuki Bakugou (a castmate from My Hero Academia) to a place called Lureri where the Emperor had tasked Katsuki with investigating suspicious activity in the area. Though they found out little since people weren't interested in talking to them, they experienced strange, uncomfortable instances of being watched while at the Inn they stayed at. They also discovered a strange Hanged Man tarot card which resulted in another quest later on (expanded on later in CRAU history below).
January 2020: In January, it is announced that the two factions will be going to war. He scouted out the opposing faction's land for future evacuation routes for civilians as well as assisting in other ways to prepare.
- Wanting to be more prepared for the upcoming battle in the event he'd need to ride a horse/mount, Izuku takes up riding lessons with Ingrid (Fire Emblem Three Houses).
- A battle waged for three days in which Izuku was enlisted as a Thunderbird rider for the initial front line attack on the Moon Temple, making his riding lessons extremely useful. He suffered injuries, though was able to receive support and healing from his CR (Katsuki Bakugou from My Hero Academia and Zhuge Liang AKA Waver Velvet from Fate).
- During the battle, Izuku crossed enemy lines to aid civilians in evacuating while part of the Moon Temple was destroyed. As this was considered an act of treason by his faction, he was punished accordingly by receiving a cursed brand on the back of his hand that lasted for a month, alerting everyone to what he'd done. The Emperor also tasked him with a Quest in which he aided a family whose Granddaughter died while fighting in the same war.
- Due to rising unrest in Fellden as a whole, as well as members increasingly going against their factions in the form of treason, the Emperor made a promise to Stars as a whole to do everything he could to protect their worlds. This was branded on Izuku as a tattoo of the north star on the back of his left hand.
February 2020: For the next few months, Izuku worked to regain favor and trust within his faction. He accomplished this by aiding his faction in whatever ways he could by helping to rebuild areas damaged in the battling, assisting civilians in towns with various needs and errands, and continuing to keep watch over the family he'd been entrusted to assist by the Emperor. His promise to help the family is branded as a tattoo of an acorn surrounded by sprigs of purple lavender on the inside of his right wrist. The Emperor, acknowledging Izuku's desire to help, absolved him of his mistakes after successfully serving his punishments. In addition, to assist Izuku in aiding his faction, the Emperor gifted him with the Thunderbird mount he rode during the battle as a companion of his own (received as an in-game blessing players could request through the use of AC threads).
- On the Eve of Promise, Katsuki and Izuku talked with one another and promised to have each others' backs while in Fellden. This resulted in an unintentional tattoo appearing for both of them to mark the promise. Izuku's showed in the form of a half sword on the inside of his left forearm.
March 2020: In March, Izuku accompanied Katsuki on a Quest that took them into Moon Territory to investigate the mystery of the Hanged Man tarot, which turned out to be a symbol of a cult that had captured several civilians from Stars territory. These civilians were heroic types, vocal in their desire to help people and their faction, making them prime "pure" targets for a strange sacrifical ritual by the cult. Using Izuku's Thunderbird as transportation, they made their way to where the ritual was taking place. Katsuki and Izuku decided to attempt to negotiate for the civilian's release, bargaining on offering themselves up instead. Though the cult members accepted the offer, they refused to release all of the civilians, which resulted in a fight breaking out among the two and the cultists.
- Izuku got captured after the cultists began trying to speed up their ritual by killing two of the remaining captives, forcing Katsuki to make a choice. Either save Izuku or the remaining civilian. After suffering two stab wounds to the abdomen, Izuku's life was saved because Katsuki chose to go for him, resulting in the remaining civilian dying. In the end out of six civilians, half were saved and half were killed as they made their escape on the Thunderbird. During Katsuki and a healer among the group of civilians working to heal and save Izuku's life, Katsuki promised Izuku that he would save him. This promise was branded on Izuku as a tattoo of a dragon skull surrounded by flame on his chest.
April 2020: Izuku talked with Waver after his near-death with the cultists, and Waver had Izuku promise that he woulf not needlessly thrust himself into danger again. This was branded on Izuku as a tattoo of a magic sigil on his lower left abdomen near the stab wound scars from the cultists.
- The Feast of the Gods occurred. During this time, it was announced that a new God was in the process of being born, with Stars planning to aid it while Moon wanted to hinder it, seeing it as a drain on Fellden's already dangerously dwindling magic. Izuku aided his faction during this time by scouting with his Thunderbird and preparing various offerings for both the new God and Emperor. He also took up tutoring for his Alchemy with Waver. In the midst of all of this, Izuku received a sword (listed in items) as a blessing from the Emperor. Izuku also gifted Katsuki with a present for his birthday, a potion he created himself after learning more in his Alchemy from Waver.
- Izuku's last action prior to the game's closure involved a final quest in which he took to the Slopes of Timoris to become a bodyguard to the recently orphaned son of a Lord Fredek. This son, Ilya, was tasked to fill the power vaccuum left behind after the Lord's passing. Some were displeased, seeing as the boy was only 12, and this resulted in one of Fredek's Commander's, Dominic, defecting and planning on assassinating Ilya and assuming the power for himself. Izuku was able to protect Ilya for a week before Dominic and a battalion of even more of Fredek's former men marched on the keep with the intent to overwhelm it. At the same time, they made an attack on a nearby prison to try and divide Ilya's forces.
- Deciding to remain behind to protect Ilya, Izuku allowed a high ranking general to take his Thunderbird to the prison to handle the attack there while he dealt with fighting at the keep. In the chaos of battle, Dominic released two trolls that rampaged out of control. Izuku was able to finally unlock the usage of Black Whip during this battle to subdue the trolls, apprehend Dominic, and save Ilya and the keep. Following this quest, the Emperor gave Izuku the title "Shield of Timoris" after his efforts to protect it.
May 2020: Fellden closed in May without any further development or action from Izuku in the game itself.
Character Personality:
Izuku Midoriya’s dream was to become the greatest hero. But then, he was born without a Quirk. And those without Quirks in a world of superheroes…can’t become great heroes.
Izuku had it tough when he was growing up as every child around him started manifesting Quirks, superpowers individual to each person, while he remained Quirkless. At the age of four, the doctor finally declared him to be Quirkless, dashing any hopes he’d had of becoming a great hero in the future. But despite all of this…Izuku wasn’t going to give up. He was determined to surpass even what was thought to be impossible.
Having been bullied mercilessly as a child for not having a Quirk, Izuku tends to be timid and a bit shy, though he’s constantly helpful to a fault. He’s polite and kind even in the face of adversity, which more often than not earned him more ire than if he’d tried to fight back. He was insecure because he was falling behind his peers. These traits were amplified before he received his Quirk- One for All- from the Number 1 Hero All Might, a person he’d idolized as a child and his sole reason for wanting to become a hero in the first place. Despite eventually receiving a Quirk, however, Izuku then had to work twice as hard to quickly gain some level of control over his new power so that he could actually go to school to train to become a Professional Hero. This resulted in him training himself intensively for 10 months to prepare for an entrance exam, showing his fierce determination to not allow the opportunity to slip through his fingers.
He is very intelligent and a quick thinker, tending to get lost in his own thoughts. He has a habit of mumbling to himself when he’s trying to think of something or work out a sort of strategy, but this is one of the things that Izuku excels the most at. Despite his originally shaky control of his given Quirk, Izuku was and still is able to compensate for his lack of experience by being able to think very quickly on his feet, taking into account every detail of a situation before he formulates a plan to tackle it. He isn’t one to give up either, prepared to go through whatever it takes to see his plan to fruition, which at times leads to Izuku being a bit impulsive and rash. Even if he has good intentions, he’ll often rush into a situation headlong without thinking about the consequences- mainly to his own self, often getting himself hurt for the sake of saving another. He has a very strong sense of justice and is constantly concerned with acting in a way that a “hero” would. Izuku is also very emotional and emphatic, and very often he’ll break down into tears if he gets overwhelmed with emotion whether it be positive or negative. He’ll cry when he’s overjoyed or when he’s devastated. There’s really no situation that’s exempt from being subject to his emotions, because he has quite a few of them.
Izuku has shown to be very strongly devoted to and passionate about the things he cares for the most, and in particular this happens to be All Might himself. He is incredibly devoted to the hero as he’s had the biggest impact on him growing up, being the main source of his ideals and beliefs in regards to what it means to be a hero. He has collected practically every piece of merchandise produced for All Might, has poured over all videos and documentaries about him, and even copies his fighting style and naming conventions for moves when he inherits One for All. It gets to a point where Izuku realizes that he needs to make the Quirk his own and tailor his style of fighting to be something his own body can handle instead of letting his admiration for All Might control all of the decisions he makes with it.
Though Izuku is normally kind and caring, he has a tendency to show his more aggressive side particularly when in combat. He’s shown himself to get frustrated and agitated if a situation isn’t going as planned, though he’s never quick to jump to anger. Instead of anger, he turns to a strong, unwavering drive to succeed, whether succeeding means saving someone or defeating the villain he is up against. A lot of this manifests in him due to the fact that he looks up very strongly to his childhood friend Bakugou Katsuki, who he considers to be the picture of victory, resulting in him somewhat mimicking Bakugou’s tendency to be loud and brash while fighting. It isn’t terribly often that this side comes out in Izuku due to him consciously trying to always keep it in check.
Character Abilities:
People in Izuku’s world have abilities known as Quirks that allow them to perform superhuman feats. They’re all wildly varied and are nearly limitless in what they can do. Izuku was a rare case in that he was not born with a Quirk, but instead had his Quirk passed down to him from the Number 1 Hero in the world, All Might.
Quirk: One For All
One For All is a Quirk that is a culmination of strength passed down from person to person, each person cultivating that power before passing it on to a successor. Izuku is the ninth holder of OFA. To date, Izuku is unable to control all of the strength the Quirk possesses; at most, he can bring out 20% of its power, but only in very short bursts in rare circumstances. At its core, OFA allows Izuku to power himself up, augmenting himself with greatly heightened strength and speed. He can move faster, jump higher, and punch/kick harder. There’s a certain risk with using this Quirk, however, because if Izuku tries to use more of the power than his body can handle, it results in his body breaking from being unable to handle the strain.
Izuku has a number of moves he utilizes with his Quirk:
One for All: Full Cowl: Full Cowl/Cowling is a technique that allows Izuku to activate 5-8% of OFA’s power, causing it to course through his body instead of needing it to be concentrated to one area. It’s accompanied by a visual effect of glowing “vein” like patterns coursing over his skin to indicate the flow of power, and while activated his body constantly gives off green electricity sparks (the sparks are just an aesthetic indication of power, they have no special ability on their own). When Full Cowl is active, Izuku has access to enhanced speed, strength, mobility, and agility, enabling him to jump great heights and quickly jump up/scale the sides of buildings. It also prevents his power from causing his bones to break.
One for All: Full Cowl – Shoot Style: Similar to Full Cowl, except with Shoot Style he powers up his torso and legs to allow himself to primarily engage in combat with kicking instead of punching. He developed this style of fighting after injuring his arms to the point where overuse/injuring them too many more times would result in him losing the ability to use them forever.
Shoot Style: St. Louis Smash: Full Cowl is active as Izuku delivers a roundhouse kick to an opponent.
5% Detroit Smash: With Full Cowl active, Izuku uses 5% of his power to deliver a downward/straight forward punch to an opponent.
Delaware Smash Airforce: With a flick of his fingers, Izuku can deliver a concussive blast of air pressure thanks to the use of upgraded gloves with his hero costume. The strength of the blast varies depending on how many fingers are used. He can only perform this move with the gloves on.
One For All 20%: This is the peak at which Izuku can use his Quirk. It causes immense pain and is just barely below the precipice of the amount of power needed to completely destroy his body. If he tries to use more power than this he risks breaking bones, causing internal bleeding and a whole lot of other nasty stuff.
[AHEAD: SPOILERS FOR THE MANGA BEYOND CHAPTER 200]
Izuku has an additional power that recently manifested by his current canon point known as Blackwhip. It's an additional Quirk within the stored power of One For All that he's gained access to, but is unable to easily control it. The power responds to his emotions, initially exploding out of him violently and uncontrollably in response to intense anger. Since then he's managed to keep a "lock" on it so to speak and hasn't been able to easily draw out the power since.
Blackwhip itself, when used, allows Izuku to manifest multiple black tendrils from his body that he can control to attack with or manipulate objects. The amount of time he can use it due to its strength is limited to just a few moments before it disappears, leaving him feeling an intense, numb pain afterwards.
CRAU NOTES/ADDITIONAL ABILITIES
In Fellden, All For One was permanently locked at 15% after Izuku slowly regained usage of it by 5% per month he was in game. Black Whip, in contrast, was locked as an ability until the last month he was in game where he unlocked his full use of the ability again during a quest.
Izuku also gained additional abilities in Fellden through studying them as fields of magic at the in-game University:
Enchantment (Expert): “Giving magical properties to weapons, armor, and other objects. For example: you can enchant a weapon to light arrows on fire once they have been shot, armor to be more protective against certain magic types, a book that opens only to your touch, or a magical lock that needs a matching enchanted key to open.” Izuku focused mainly on learning to enchant objects as described.
Alchemy (Apprentice): “Potion work! Alchemists can create poisons to hurt, elixers to heal, or potions that will temporarily raise your abilities or even protect you. There's rumors of potions that can raise the dead, grant immortality, and even cure lycanthropy and vampirism, but you'll be hard pressed to find anyone able to create them.” Izuku's aim with Alchemy mainly focused on areas of healing and protection/support, though they were never always quite perfect.
He also learned minor spells during events in Fellden:
• Minor fire rune
• Minor ward spell as defense against monsters
• Basic defense rune
• Minor illusion rune
Items: Izuku will arrive wearing the outfit he wore while in Fellden. As well as:
• A Big Yellow Backpack: A well loved school backpack. The backpack will contain inside of it:
• Izuku’s hero costume - Shoot Style: Costume includes a jumpsuit with a hood, a mask, gloves, boots, and a belt with pouches that contain a few small first-aid items like gauze and disinfectant. The gloves are augmented to allow him to perform Delaware Smash Airforce. The boots are equipped with steel toes that extend on the moment of impact when he kicks something to lessen the strain on his ankles when using his Quirk.
• Civilian Outfit: Includes a shirt (with kanji on it that just says “shirt”), a teal hoodie, sweatpants, and bright red sneakers.
• A soft, warm scarf given as a gift. It’s bright red.
• A book of legends on famous heroes of Fellden. "Within, there will be tales–both fiction and non–that will regale of tales about famous legends and heroes in Fellden!"
• A compass. Once used for communication and other things in Fellden, it's not totally useless. It probably doesn't even work as a normal compass honestly (since it ran on magic), but it's at least cool looking.
• A Sword he acquired during his time in Fellden. It also comes with a small canister of polish.
(How it worked in Fellden): "While there is an enchantment on the sword to make it lengthen as necessary, it will require 30 days of continuous training with it for Izuku to make this work as he desires it to! It needs time to resonate with the magic now within him. With a few days of practice, Izuku will discover that he will be able to store it away in a kind of hammerspace only for this blade! In addition, the blade will always be sharp and will always be perfectly weighted for Izuku's needs." Obviously with magic unusable in TR at present the sword will just behave like a normal sword with no hammerspace capibilities.
• A pair of well-worn bracers. In Fellden, they had the following enchantment: "These bracers have the ability to draw the eye of anyone attacking Izuku, making their blade swing for the bracers rather than himself when he raises them in defense (even if his defense isn't perfect!). They will only work three times before the magic exhausts itself, and will take 24 hours to recharge." Again, just a normal pair of old bracers that work for minor attacks with physical defense but not much more than that.
Other:
While in Fellden, Izuku acquired a special mount of his own from the Emperor known as a Thunderbird. I’m including Thunderbirds as a potential species option for an imprint below. If possible, I’d like to ask if Izuku might be allowed to have his mount as well, should Thunderbirds be added to the game. Thunderbirds, as noted in their imprint below, are quite massive, so I would be okay with them being sized down much smaller so as to fit within the confines of the game if necessary to be more acceptable (so, instead of being large enough to eat a whale, they could be the size of a large horse. Still large enough to ride, but not OBSCENELY large).

Imprint
Imprint Type: Species
Summary: Thunderbirds, a large species of bird with an affinity for electricity.
Full Details: Thunderbirds, as the name implies, are massive creatures with wing patterns designed to camouflage them within storm clouds. They have an affinity for electricity/lightning and lightning based magic, making them and their riders completely immune to electricity. In fact, Thunderbirds are healed when struck by either, so using electricity against them is never advised. It is for this reason that they often hunt from the cover of heavy, dark storm clouds. While, thunderbirds are not capable of generating electricity on their own, they are able to absorb energy from lightning and redirect it, should they so choose. They are not invincible however, as they are weak to fire and tend to stray closer to colder climates, living in mountainous roosts at dizzyingly high altitudes. Their feathers are a motley mix of greys, whites, and blacks with single color accents of either yellow, orange, or blue that match their eyes. These colored accents will glow vibrantly when a Thunderbird has absorbed any amount of electrical energy. They are proud yet noble creatures, and only very recently have they been known to fight alongside humans in wars in the past. Rarely, if deemed worthy, a Thunderbird may form a trusting bond with a human as their rider and companion. They are capable of flying long distances with endurance and strength comparable to dragons, and have been known to feast on orcas that they pluck from the sea. Their diet consists primarily of fish, whales, and other sealife that they hunt from the ocean, as they are strictly obligate carnivores. They will, however, feast on animals that happen to stray too near to their roosts, such as mountain goats. They are capable of speaking to humans, though it is not uncommon to find many Thunderbirds that prefer to remain silent for the most part. When speaking with their own kind, they speak in a tongue that is not understandable to humans. They are not known to be solitary creatures, as they will tend to form large flights on the mountains where they live. Despite their overall size and prowess, however, Thunderbirds are not generally considered to be a threat to humans unless provoked.
Imprint Type: Scenery
Summary: Takoba Municipal Beach Park, a once beautiful beach spot turned trash-heap after accumulating trash from the sea for years.
Full Details: Takoba Beach is a long stretch of of beach located on what would be a beautifully scenic area by the sea, if it weren’t for the heaps of garbage accumulated on the shores. The beach contains a long pier with a Gazebo at the end for beachgoers to enjoy that is miraculously unobstructed by the trash. The trash accumulated on the sand is primarily metal junk as if directly from a scrapyard, though it’s not uncommon to find everyday garbage here too, if you for some reason want to go dumpster diving. It could be restored to it’s former glory if time is taken to clean the beach!
Imprint Type: Scenery
Summary: A traditional Japanese hot springs located outdoors with a walled off section for men and women.
Full Details: The Training Camp Hot Springs is an outdoor bathing area with natural spring-filled pools that have been set into the ground. Surrounded by rocks and a large outdoor bonsai tree overlooking the water, these springs are of the traditionally Japanese variety. There are two sides sectioned off by a large wooden wall, each dedicated for men and women. Guests visiting the springs are expected to wash in showers located off to one side of the area before getting in. There are towels available for use as well.
