It was Doppio-san. He was looking for crickets in the snow when I met him.

[You can imagine it was a strange enough sight for Izuku to come over.]

[The name does get her to perk a bit, though her expression flattens out a bit.]

Well, if it was Doppio, I guess that makes sense. He's definitely weird, right?
He's some kinda deer zombie, I guess; Waldgeists...

[She sounds a little, uh, nervous? Probably cause, well.
Zombies.]

I like him though, he's pretty harmless underneath it all. But he's definitely not a good measure when it comes to undead monsters, for sure.
I'm not sure anything bugs him.

[He's too nice to say that out loud, but...yeah. Weird is the best way he could describe Doppio.

Mmm...maybe so. I'm guessing that Waldgeists aren't the only undead monster, then.

Right. They're just one of them.

[Aaand now she's not looking at him, her screen taking on a decidedly dark blue hue - complete her expression pulling up into one he's... probably never seen before, even before showing up in Ryslig.
Is it fear? Yeah, maybe a little bit.]

There're also, you know... vampires? Obviously.
But there are liches, too. W-which are, like. Normal... human zombies.
Or ghosts.
Or skeletons...

Dr. Pierce is one of those, actually. It kinda... makes the clinic a little hard to hang around in...

[Oh no poor Jiro...Izuku is well aware of how she feels about things that are conventionally scary, like skeletons and ghosts, so...he can't imagine that's very fun for her.]

Oh man...I wonder why some people turn into things like that, where others' changes aren't so...severe?

[Jiro ends up bringing a hand to her screen, covering it where she can without fully obscuring her sight.
Mostly just to hide the way her expression's gone a bit green.]

I dunno, man, but it's honestly pretty awful. I've seen a lot of people who've been here way longer than me, but they just look like...
Like people you'd see back home, you know? Like they've just got a cool mutant type Quirk, or the usual extra parts or whatever.

But then there're people like me...

[Still with that hand in place, she looks down at her robotic torso. It's such an all-over change...]

[You know, he never considered that Jiro might be self conscious about her changes, mainly since they are at least similar enough to her Quirk that she was able to keep some fascimile of it...but of course turning into a robot would be a weird and difficult thing for anyone. Especially Jiro who would have a problem with body horror out the gate.]

Maybe...being so changed might give you a bit of a leg up on other monsters? It's different, but...I don't know. You seem to have a lot of different abilities now that are really useful to have, in spite of everything.

It's - I mean, yeah, that's true?
But it also feels like I gave up way too much for all of it. I ever tell you how my first changes went?

[Just based on the way her expression's shifted, it's safe to say they must not have gone well.]

... I hope your changes go smoothly, though. I know it varies from person to person.

I don't think you did, but...from what I gathered it was really bad.

[You know with how she's mentioned her head is just. Hollow now, and all.]

I guess there's no use in worrying about it. It's going to happen whether I like it or not.

[She pats her chest, once or twice.]

Passed out in the snow and needed emergency surgery. I ended up getting pulled into an empty cafe nearby for it... 's how I came to trust Doctor Flug, actually.

[... But it's followed by a surprisingly blase shrug.]

You're right, though; no use worrying about it. But... maybe we should make sure the tent's prepared?
Just in case. I mean, I got first aid kits and stuff everywhere, plus some money stashed around if we need it, but that's about it.

But yeah, we should...I guess we can't prepare for every type of monster there is, but making sure we have the essentials at all times is better than nothing.
